Festive Scotch Egg Recipe
We thought we'd found our favourite scotch egg recipe, and then our farm manager, John, sent his to us!
Ingredients:
500g of sausage-meat.
2 slices of black pudding.
2 packets of flavoured (any) crisps.
Breadcrumbs.
Salt and pepper.
6 boiled eggs
2 beaten eggs
Method:
Mix black pudding and sausage meat together with pepper and salt.
Mix the breadcrumbs with crushed crisps.
Divide the meat mixture into 6 equal amounts.
Encase each egg with meat and roll in beaten egg.
Then roll in the breadcrumb mixture.
Deep fry for 5 minutes.
Drain on kitchen paper, and leave to cool a little.
Serve halved with some piccalilli.
