Working With Yorkshire Air Ambulance
Here at James Potter Eggs, we are strong advocates for giving back to our society. This is why we donate 1p per dozen eggs to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. A charity we are honoured to be connected to and working with.
About Yorkshire Air Ambulance
Yorkshire Air Ambulance is an independent charity providing a lifesaving rapid response emergency device to 5 million people across the whole of Yorkshire. The Charity was set up in 2000 and now operate there very own dedicated air desk for rapid dispatch of their helicopters. The swift medical interventions provided by the air ambulance crews have a major impact on a patient’s chance of survival and subsequent quality of life.
Close to our hearts
Back in May 2020, one of our own Egg producers was helped by the YAA after being crushed by cattle at a local auction mart. He was flown to James Cook University Hospital, where he spent 4 days in high dependency but, thankfully, is now fully recovered. Speaking of the YAA, Stephen said, “They did a marvellous job; we couldn’t do without them.”
We have now been involved with the YAA for over 10 years and have so far raised £114,000 for the Charity.
This year we were thrilled to receive “The Outstanding Partnership Award”, in recognition of our continued work in raising money for the Charity. We’re proud to say that to date, we have raised over £114,000 for The Yorkshire Air Ambulance!
